To produce fruit, a healthy plant requires a fertile soil, sunshine and ample rain. In order to carry out its mission, a healthy nonprofit like FiftyForward requires a trained/professional staff, dedicated volunteers and financial support. Today, the fastest growing segment of our  country’s population is age 65 and up. The need for FiftyForward programs and services, therefore, is greater than ever. Our organization, from its inception in 1956 as Senior Citizens, Inc. until today as FiftyForward, has enjoyed a growing and strong reputation for wise use of resources. Therefore, donors can trust that their contributions will be used wisely for programs and services that touch the lives of more than 20,000 older adults, families and children each year.

Support comes from a wide range of funding sources, especially grants from governments and foundations, the United Way of Metro Nashville and the United Way of Williamson County, special events and campaigns, and cash or in-kind contributions from individuals, couples and families. Our FiftyForward Endowment offers numerous deferred and planned giving opportunities as well.

Phone Contribution

Beginning in the summer of 2008, the Senior Spirit will become Benchmarks, in keeping with the rebranding of our organization as FiftyForward.

With a strong commitment to honor the rights and privacy of our donors, FiftyForward does not disclose confidential donor information outside the organization. This policy has no exceptions. We do not sell or exchange a donor’s personal information with any other organization - public, private, or nonprofit.
