Welcome to FiftyForward Donelson Station!
accredited by the National Institute of Senior Centers

Currently in the midst of a capital campaign to refurbish the building and expand the Senior Center for the Arts space housed there, FiftyForward Donelson Station opened in 1979. The center has occupied the former Donelson Elementary School since 1989.
This center has received both local and national recognition, including the National Council on Aging’s competitive 2004 photography award. The multiple-use facility is especially well known for its comprehensive health and fitness programs, such as low impact and water aerobics classes, a walking club, tai chi, yoga and Pilates classes – along with circuit exercise equipment.
Silversmithing and lapidary are among the not-so-traditional classes offered. Those who love music can learn tap dancing, sing in the Serenaders and help with musical productions of the Senior Center for the Arts. Classes in fine arts are popular. This center even has a comedy club and a clown troupe.
Call the center for more information, to arrange for a tour or request a copy of the newsletter. The schedule of classes and events for FiftyForward Donelson is also printed in Forward Focus, available at the center and at area public libraries.
Special Events (Annual)
The center’s major fundraising events are
- Labor Day Weekend Barbecue, Arts and Entertainment Festival
