The mission of FiftyForward is to help adults 50 and older
maintain their independence and active involvement in the community through comprehensive services, advocacy and community education. FiftyForward is the leading resource for adults 50+ in Middle Tennessee who seek to live longer, more fulfilling lives. We are the premier provider of innovative programs and services for older adults and their families through a powerful leadership team of staff, volunteers and community partners. Founded in 1956, FiftyForward (formerly Senior Citizens, Inc.), annually touches the lives of more than 20,000 individuals – senior adults, children and families in Middle Tennessee. FiftyForward is the 25th largest nonprofit organization in the Nashville area (Nashville Business Journal). Through seven centers and a variety of programs in Davidson and Williamson counties, FiftyForward provides a continuum of services for adults 50 and older to remain engaged in living their lives to the fullest. At our centers, members participate in hundreds of educational and wellness programs. We also provide needed assistance to those wanting to keep living independently in their homes through our Living At Home services, and we offer exceptional volunteer opportunities. Moreover, we have an outstanding performing arts program through the Senior Center for the Arts and Music for Seniors, and our FiftyForward Travel program conducts trips at home and abroad throughout the year.
