Consider a Deferred or Planned Gift

A number of FiftyForward donors have elected to make planned gifts in addition to ongoing annual contributions to the agency. All planned gifts that have been made to Senior Citizens, Inc. in the past automatically will be honored as gifts to FiftyForward. The same goes for the transition from the Senior Citizens Foundation to the FiftyForward Endowment.

Following are opportunities for deferred giving that are geared to benefit the interests/needs of the donor as well as support FiftyForward in the future.

Bequest

For this gift, the donor names the FiftyForward Endowment in his/her will in or a living trust.

Charitable Gift Annuity

In this contract, the FiftyForward Endowment agrees to pay the donor a fixed annuity for the rest of his/her life with the remainder going to FiftyForward Endowment. The gift can be cash or securities.

Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust 

This trust pays a set income to the donor or designated beneficiaries before FiftyForward Endowment receives the remainder of the assets.    

Charitable Remainder Unitrust 

This trust pays a variable income to the donor or designated benficiaries before FiftyForward receives the remainder.

Life Insurance Gift

The FiftyForward Endowment is named as beneficiary and owner of a life insurance policy.

Retirement Plan 

This gift of retirement assets names FiftyForward Endowment as a remainder beneficiary after the donor’s death.

Confidentiality

Neither FiftyForward nor the FiftyForward Endowment discloses confidential donor information outside the organization. We encourage our donors and potential donors to confer with an attorney, accountant or other trusted advisor when making important financial decisions.
